A parental update.....

Today was the next to the last chemo appointment for my dad. It should have gone off without a hitch but then plans to give the horses away caused major problems.

My parents still have 2 Arabian horses, a 9 year old mare, and an 8 year old gelding. My brother found someone who would adopt them, and were excited as the couple who was adopting them has plans to start providing horse and riding therapy for children with Autism. Great plan, bad execution. The horses were being very obstinate and did not want to get in the horse trailer.

I still don't know EXACTLY what happened next, but one of the horses knocked my mom down and long story short she is still in the ER HOURS later and is getting stitches in her head and also has a broken pelvis. We have NO idea what the next step is at this point. My brother is there with them this week so is keeping me posted by phone. I am sure the prognosis is not the best.... but at this point I trust that God is going to get us through this as He has everything else on this journey.

So a day that started out with a simple 3 hour chemo session has added more stress which at this point is the last thing my dad needs.

I know this is kind of a jumbled and rambling email but that is kind of how my mind is feeling right now.

Until next time.......

Oh My Gosh! What a crazy mess! I am sure your dad and mom are glad to have your brother there, and this will all work itself out soon, but I am sorry to hear your mom was hurt. Prayers coming her and your way for strength and healing for all of you. Think positive thoughts!
