Fly Lady is supposedly helping me fly..... in cleaning that is......in organizing....
Ok, so Step 1 is SHINY SINK 101. Now my sink ain't that bad.....at least I think so....... So I didn't follow EVERY step, like filling the sink with hot water and bleach... She then says use cleanser on it... THEN something like SOS pads to shine up a stainless steel sink.... so I just did the SOS... told you I was lazy....I just couldn't see taking all the time to do the extra steps when a little SOS-ing would do the trick.
So here is the finished product.....And GEESH, can you tell the side I ALWAYS use?????? The right side is sooooo scratched up. I want a new upgraded faucet but then I will want a new sink....:o)
MY problem is the wiping up after every use to KEEP it looking GREAT..... but I will work on that.... I promise.
And if I am being honest, which I also promise to do.... the left side usually has a dish drainer thingy in it.... and it ALWAYS has dishes in it..... but that is a big Fly Lady no no!!!! I need to either hide that puppy under the sink or get rid of it all together.... that one is still up for debate.
Now TOMORROW really worries me. It is Dress to the Shoes day....... NOT going to be easy for me. More on that tomorrow......
Until then.....keep on flying!!!

Kim since I let Lara clean I don't worry about the sink. I really don't like stainless steel sinks and I made a list of things I wanted to change when I bought this house 6 1/2 years ago and guess what the same old not shiny sink is still here! ha ha ha Talk about procrastination!! ha ha ha
Love you,
Bart
I love it! Im not one to do heavy cleaning. I think it I had it my way, I would just hire the cleaning out to someone else. Love is still trying to mold me in that area. What's wrong with dishes in the drainer? They get used the quickest!
Try Bar Keeper's Friend! It's easy and it works!
I think slippers should count! I have to admit I was in my gown and house coat until 9:00 when hubby came back from the big town! In my defense, I was sitting here trying to balance out checkbook, so I was working.
Hang in there; take her ideas and tweak them so they work for you. She wouldn't want you getting all stressed out!
P.S. Your sink looks beautiful!
Dress to the shoes ~ The gardener is here and I wanted to talk to him about pulling out the rose bushes in the front yard. When I got to the door, I realized I still had my pink jammie bottoms on and had to run back to my room to change into jeans. Ooops, but glad I didn't open the door first.
It does always feel good when I feel "ready for the day" though. I seem to accomplish more when I get dressed first, or feel more confident and competent. Sounds silly I know, but it works for me.
I keep a small clear spray bottle of vinegar next to the kitchen sink so that I can disinfect it at will and I keep baskets of cleaning products (easy natural stuff) under both bath cabinets and under the kitchen sink. I'm lazy too LOL and don't want to go running around the house looking for cleaning stuff when I get "the urge." :-) Here's a pic of my bathroom basket http://inherpeace-janetsjournal.blogspot.com/2010/07/facebook-janet-ellis.html
The bottles are small enough to make them super easy to handle (container store)...and they're kinda cute. Notice that matchy matchy thing going with the basket trim and the peroxide bottle. It was totally unintentional. I told my friend Candace about it...and she went a bought a bright lime green basket (it's her fav color) I thought that was a good idea for those of us who would rather being doing something other than cleaning...make it fun, make it an adventure :-) ~ Blessings, Janet
Now you're making me want to go clean my stainless steel sink. It really needs it!
Have a happy evening!
Like Tammy in the comment above your sinks are so shiny I am now feeling ashamed of mine and after I've had my breakfast will tackle the sink straight away!!!! Judyxx
