Resolutions???? AGAIN????

So here it is another New Year and thinking of all the past resolutions loved and lost...... :o)

I have a lot of great ideas for resolutions this year, including food, exercise, and other personal goals...
WAIT THOSE SOUND VERY FAMILIAR.... OH YES, those were also last years resolutions.

So how to make and KEEP resolutions.

I have decided to work on making my cooking a little (OK a LOT) more interesting in order to help me stay on a healthy eating plan.


LAST YEAR, that was my resolution and I put it in writing on my Weight Watchers Blog. WOW, here is it a year later and I am 8-10 lbs up from that time.

At the start of 2010 I was cooking and eating alone and I would make a BIG pot of pasta, or a BIG pot of chili and then eat the same thing for days on end until I was so sick of it that I froze the rest. Great for future lunches but I wanted to revamp my recipes so that I would only have enough for a day or two. Also, I REALLY wanted to try new recipes, so one of my committments was to find and try a new recipe EVERY week and alter it as needed to make it for one (ME) instead of a crowd.

This resolution STUCK for a few months and then a wrench got thrown in my plans.

How much difference a year makes. I brought dad here for a short time before he died and now mom is living here so I no longer cook for one or eat alone. 

It is time to revamp again..... dig out my recipes...try a new spin on them... go back to making a LITTLE more food, just not as much as I used to.

Oh, and I will be back on the Weight Watchers soon. Something in me mentally just could not fathom going on plan during the season of glutony holidays.

So let's raise a belated New Year's toast to new beginnings and resolutions kept and celebrated.
