- Get back on Weight Watcher Plan for healthy eating
- Start exercising again (baby steps)
- Continue my Fly Lady Journey to organize and make my house visitor friendly
- Toss the stuff I haven't worn, used, looked at in the last 2 years since I moved to my condo
- Research caregiver sites and newsletters to become a more patient caregiver to my mom.
I FINALLY watched Eat Pray Love and even tho I love the word that Julia Roberts chooses in the movie as HER word, I have decided my word this year is PATIENCE.... patience with myself, patience with mom, patience with my children, grandchildren and friends.
Oh, and in case you missed it, the Eat Pray Love word was attraversiamo, which means 'let's cross over together". I just LOVE that word....
So now on to a BLESSED 2011!

These seem like some really great resolutions. I have a few myself but I need to get them written down because I keep tweeking them and I need to just stick to a few. lol.

Your list looks very similiar to mine! It caught my attention because of the WW thing. I've been on the 'old plan' for awhile now...found success, fell off the wagon after vacation, and now I'm trying to get back in the swing....and really struggling with the new plan! I'll be following along on your journey, wishing you well! Sometimes writing it down, and visiting it oftenl....it's got to help!
This is a wonderful post. These resolutions sound very attainable. Several I can say that I'd like to accomplish for myself as well. Very best of luck to you with it. xo Marie
I just couldn't bring myself to write the word "resolution" anywhere. I've never really accomplished them and this year I decided I'm not going to put myself through it. I do however love the idea of 1) losing half my age in weight :-) 2) Writing a best selling book 3) Finishing up that Cherished Family Cookbook 4) Reading the Bible cover to cover again 5)Having a successful benefit in my sister's honor 6) 7) 8) 9) 10) :-) You get the picture. :-) I think I'll just start with "What am I going to accomplish in January, or maybe this week, or maybe by the end of today :-) I love reading your blog Kim. You are always so positive and full of inspiration and I am surely praying that you find some wonderful support to help out with your mom...both for your peace of mind and your well-being. You have so much to offer and it will be easier to do with a full cup...so I guess I'm agreeing with S...Don't forget to have some fun!:-) Always in my prayers ~ Blessings, Janet
I started to read this book, and made my way through the Eat part, but became stuck in the Pray. Might have to go back and give it another try.
Patience is on my list too. As I turn 49 this year, my girls, newly 8 & 6, sometimes use up the last of mine. Their age and my age can be a challenging experience some days. I guess I'm stuck in the praying part of this story too. ;-)
Hugs!
You should be commended for giving some worthy goals a shot. Best to you, Kim.
Hi! This is Madison from Funky Cards. You saw my card on The Crafty Card Gallery. I made a birthday card using a stamp from the Stamping Boutique. You asked how I colored it. I used Prisma Colored pencils which are artist quality pencils. I blended the colors with mineral spirits. You can google this technique and watch You Tube videos:) It is really fun! Thanks for stopping by. Check back and take a look at the other cards I designed as the week continues:)
