OK, I have been holding back on you!!!
Not intentionally of course...
Just part of my current stage of hibernation.
But I am ready!!!
Ready to show you the stuff that the Fly Lady has inspired me to get rid of...
Either to the TRASH heap...
Or to the donation site.
I chatted about the challenge to get rid of 27 things that are throw away and 27 things that can be donated. Not sure where that arbitrary number came from but I am sure there is some logic to it.
Here is SOME of the trash!
 |
| Part of the 27 items I tossed |
I say SOME because I also had stuff that had made it to the trash before I remembered to take a pic.
Next we have...
 |
| Clothes Donation to Good Will |
And.....
 |
Books to be donated or taken to 1/2 Price Books
Did you notice my little pup checking out the pile to make sure that I wasn't throwing any of her stuff out?
She just wouldn't move.
I am kinda disapointed tho as the pile of clothes doesn't look that big but it filled a large kitchen trash bag. And it sure was heavy!!!!
SO, did I hit the mark of 27 trash items and 27 donated items?
You bet I did.
And I feel GREAT.
Come summer I will do another one of these challenges and maybe some of my summer clothes will say their last goodbye and be sent off to Goodwill too.
Until next time...... |

YEAH! Doesn't it make you feel a bit lighter to get rid of "stuff?" You go girl!
Kim thanks to you I have started getting rid of stuff I should have tossed years ago. I had clothes I haven't worn in over 6 years! I am almost finished with the bedroom and living room, only 4 more rooms to go! Praise the Lord! Love you.
Congratulations on your recent purging ☺ It always feels so good to make room, doesn't it. It is easier to breathe and to move, to dream and to dare to do something new. I hope this opens up wonderful creative possibilities for you. ☺
Books are the hardest things for me to part with. Rick bought me a Nook last year for Christmas so that I can save some shelf space. Now, I am reading the new books that I buy, and if I don't need them for reference, I am passing them on. I try to live by the one thing in two things out rule. Sometimes I do okay and other times, Yikes! ☺ ~Blessings, Janet
